Manuel J. Nabais, a longtime Yonkers resident died peacefully on April 19, 2014. Born in Espinhal, Portugal on September 26, 1928, he was 85. For many years he was employed as a policeman in Portugal and in 1967 he left his native Portugal came to the United States and settled in Yonkers. While here he worked in construction and landscaping and was also a member of the Portuguese American Club in Yonkers. Manuel enjoyed music and dancing. Beloved husband of Maria V. (Pires) Nabais. Devoted father of John (Pam) Nabais and Cristina (Michael) D'Angelo. Cherished grandfather of Monique (Chad) Mallozzi, Jon-Michael Nabais and Christopher, Matthew and Michael D'Angelo and great-grandfather of Brooke Marie Mallozzi. Predeceased by four brothers. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church (South Broadway) on Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Interment Mt.
