Orlando Amato died peacefully on June 10, 2014 at the Betherl Nursing Home
in Croton, NY.
Orlando was born February 8, 1923 in Salerno, Italy.
He served in the Italian Army during WW2.
He married Francesca Fierro in 1950.
He is survived by his son Jerry Amato and his wife Jane and 3 grandchildren:
Jerry Amato, Jr., Jennine, and Julianne Wiess (Mrs. Michael) and a daughter
Tina Amato.
Orlando had a passion for gardening, bocci, Italian food, soccer and his family dinners.
He was a role model for his children with a strong work ethic, values and family unity.He accomplished many goals in his life. He was an immigrant with an American dream which he achieved with hard work and determination.
