Eleonora Cicchini, age 81, died on Friday, October 24th, 2014 with her family by her side in Valley Cottage, NY. The cause of her passing was Alzheimer's Disease which she was diagnosed with in 2003.Born on August 22, 1933, in Pietraferrazzana, Italy, Eleonora was one of 6 children to the late Elia and Riccardo D'Agostino. She immigrated to America with her family in 1968 to Yonkers and moved to Valley Cottage in 1997. Eleonora worked at an electronic factory and later cooked for the priests at St. Ann's in Yonkers. It has been told that the parishioners would smell Eleonora's delicious cooking during mass. Eleonora lived her life always giving to others. She always put others first and was a true example of unconditional love. Eleonora touched everyone she met not only through her kindness but her love for cooking. She lived for her family always making sure we were fed, happy and together on Sunday. Eleonora Cicchini is survived by her 2 daughters, son and their spouses, Marisa and Silvio Sciarretta, Pina and Frank Bucci and Claudio and Ivis Cicchini; 5 grandchildren, Lino, Sonia, Sabrina, Claudio and Alex; 7 Great-grandchildren; and her 2 sisters, Bambina Caferra and Lori Austin. She was the wife to the late Paolo Cicchini.Friends may call on Monday from 4PM to 8PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:00 at St. Ann's Church, 854 Midland Ave, Yonkers. Entombment will be in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale.
