Alexander Victor Nigrello of Yonkers N.Y. passed away on Wednesday December 31st 2014 - it was his 88th birthday. He was born on December 31st 1926 to Salvatore and Madeline Nigrello in Jersey City, New Jersey. He served his country proudly during World War II in the U.S. Navy as a pharmacists mate. He worked for the A&P Supermarket Chain for over 50 years - he managed many stores in Westchester County over the course of his career. He married his beloved wife Herminia (Mimi) who survives him, on January 15th 1955. He is also survived by his devoted children Robert, Tina Scanlon(James) and Allen. He will be forever loved by his only grandson and best friend James Conrad Alexander Scanlon. Loving brother of Louis, Esther Lombardo and Corrine Bucci. One Brother Robert Bucci predeceased him. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. He will missed by all who ever crossed his path He was a long time parishioner of both Mount Carmel Saint Anthony and Saint Anne's Parishes in Yonkers. He loved baseball in any form - from watching his children play ball as they were growing up to watching his beloved New York Yankees on television. He loved watching westerns and any classic movies - he also loved his pasta, sausage and peppers and a good bowl of tripe. He was a member of Frank A. Rea Post #1163. Family and Friends are invited to share in Al's memory at Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY. Funeral Mass at Mount Carmel Saint Anthony Church Yonkers NY Monday January 5th at 10AM. Interment at Saint Mary Cemetery Yonkers NY
