Trevis Volpicelli , a lifelong Yonkers resident, died Sunday, March 1st, 2015 at the age of 91. He was born November 6, 1923 to Pasqualina and Pasquale Volpicelli. He attended Yonkers Public Schools and graduated from Commerce High School in 1941. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving as Technical Sergeant in the Pacific Theater of World War II during which time he participated in the battle of Iwo Jima. On November 12, 1950 he married Antoinette Concia, also of Yonkers, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He was a manager for CIT Financial Services and the controller at Park Lincoln Mercury auto dealership in Yonkers, and retired in 1994. He is survived by his wife, Antoinette, of Yonkers; his daughters Donna Volpicelli (Della Croce) of Levittown, NY; Lynn DeLuca of Yorktown Heights, NY; Lisa Kalfus of River Vale, New Jersey; son-in-law Ethan Kalfus of River Vale, New Jersey; and the five grandchildren he adored, Michael DeLuca and Lori DeLuca of Yorktown Heights, NY, Victor Della Croce of Merrick, NY, and William Kalfus and Lauren Kalfus, of River Vale, New Jersey. He was predeceased by his brothers James, Frederick and Ferrell, and his sisters Marie Conway, Lillian Ferine, Beatrice Calise, Anna Cataldo, Antoinette Fitzpatrick, and Elaine Gentile. He is survived by his brother Ronald Volpicelli of Yonkers. Mr. Volpicelli is being remembered for his unique, outspoken perspectives on life, his independent spirit, and his love and devotion to his family. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc. 601 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral mass 10am Wednesday at St. Anthony's Church (Nepera Park). Entombment Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the American Heart Association.
