Alice P. Lemischak passed away on Monday,March 16, 2015. She was born on March 24,1931 to Michael J. and Marie E. (Ronan) Lowery in Yonkers, NY. She attended Roosevelt High School. Upon graduation, she went to work for the New York Telephone Company. On January 6, 1951 she married Joseph Lemischak who pre-deceased her on September 22,1981. She lived in Hastings for 62 years. Surving are four children: daughters Patricia (Otto) Otivich of Hastings; Susan (Richard) Kodnia of Poughkeepsie; Karen (Dennis) Farrell of Yonkers; and one son Joseph (Jennifer) Lemischak of Hastings. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Billy, Melissa and Jimmy Otivich; Tracy (James) McDonough; Jennifer, Amanda and Richie (Brigitta) Kodnia; Katie (Nick) Bucher; Allison, Joseph and William Lemischak; seven great grandchildren: Alexander, Zadira, Abby, JJ, Emma, Jenna and Ryan; and her sister Gail Pine. She was pre-deceased by her brother Michael J. Lowery, Jr. and two sisters Marie Byrne and Neidig. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 9PM at the Hastings Funeral Home, Inc., 15 Spring Street, Hastings-on-Hudson. The Funeral mass will be on Friday at 10AM at St. Matthews Church, 616 Warburton Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson. Interment St. Josephs Cemetery, Yonkers. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675, www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate or the Hastings Ambulance Corps.
