Dorothy P. Carris returned to the Lord on April 2nd, 2015. Born in New York City in 1924 to the late Abraham and Rose Jones, she was 90 years old. She was a homemaker and long time parishioner of St. Frances of Rome in the Bronx and St. Margaret's in Swansboro, NC. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Stanley, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves behind 5 children: Michael Carris and his wife Sharon, Patricia Carris, Paul Carris and his wife Carroll, Monica Thornton and her husband Terry and Katherine Palazzo and her husband Nick; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue on Monday, April 6th from 4 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Haverstraw on Tuesday April 7th at 11 AM. Interment at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
