I am certain Bill Banks was so very proud of the family he and his wife loved and fostered through-out their lives. He left a shining example for all as an ambassador of humanity and inspires me, his family and others to take up his missions. I appreciate the Banks’ family’s devotion to supporting others who have the interest and passion but not the means to pursue a career benefitting others with their learned skills, and in particular, with the founding and ongoing support of Bill’s Nursing Scholarship Fund in memory of his wife Therese, who was an RN. I didn’t know how to accomplish sending in my donation so contacted the Lions Club and thought I would share here the information I received. All donations in memory of Bill (and Therese) Banks can be sent to:

May God bless the descendants of Bill Banks and may you all take comfort in knowing he is with you now and always.

My Dad always said that he walked into his room at Fordham, where room mates where "chosen" by the alphabet, and met his friends for life: Bach, Baldino, Banks, Barron and Bry - Johnny (Bach), Nick (Baldino), (Bill) Banks,(Denny) Barron and (Bob) Bry. They remained friends for each and all of their respective amazing lives (Johnny and Bob are still with us). I was fortunate enough to know each of them, including your Dad and fondly remember the Banks family visits to the shore. My deepest condolences to your family.

I feel so fortunate to have benefited from Bill's friendship with my father. Their relationship has enriched my life with so many wonderful childhood memories. I hope our families will stay in contact as a result of their passing and continue to build upon that unique and very special bond.

My father-in-law was a smart, successful man. He possessed so much knowledge, but was humble enough never to offer his wisdom unless you asked. I feel fortunate that my father-in-law had the same ethics and values as my own father. I am grateful to have his son Chris as my life's partner and to be a part of a family that includes Helen and Romero, Barbara and Keith and Peter. His grandchildren Heather, Colleen, Juliana, Shannon, Kristin and Richard (Zoe) continue Bill's legacy of living smart, value-driven lives.
