Mary (Sarson) Stipanovic, 93, died on April 21, 2015 at the Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville, NY. Mary was born in Morley, Colorado, the daughter of Rudy and Valerija Sarson. The family relocated to New York City in the late 1920's where she completed high school and enjoyed playing the accordion for the Manhattan Accordion Club. She was a longtime resident of Yonkers, NY, where she lived with her husband Branko and two children. Mary worked for the Yonkers Board of Education in the Guidance Department at Lincoln High School for many years where her commitment to students and positive work ethic were well known. Beloved wife of the late Branko. Devoted mother of Jeannie (Dennis) Vernoia and Arthur (Elena) Stipanovic. Loving sister of John Sarson and the late Rudy Sarson. Cherished aunt of Jemette Paskoski, Karen Tucker and Byron Ballard. Mary also leaves behind family in England and Croatia. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. on Friday from 2-4PM only. Funeral service on Saturday at the funeral home at 10:00AM followed by interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
