Robert J. Pompilio, of Boynton Beach, Fla. and a former longtime Yonkers resident died peacefully on May 26, 2015 at the age of 91. During World War II, Robert served in the U. S. Army and saw action in France. For 42 years he was a para mutual supervisor for the Yonkers Raceway. Devoted son of the late Joseph and Mary Pompilio. Beloved husband of the late Angelica (Ursitti) Pompilio. Cherished father of Robert C. (Annmarie) Pompilio, Gerard (Ellen) Pompilio and Donna Marie Pompilio. Loving grandfather of Christopher, Paul and Lauren Pompilio. Dear brother of John Pompilio and the late Anthony Pompilio, Fay Caragine and Margaret Adamson. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. on Thursday from 4-8pm. Funeral mass at St. Bartholomew Church on Friday at 10:00AM.
