Obituary of Gerald D. Sinnott

Gerald Donald Sinnott of Carmel, NY passed away on Saturday, June 6th of natural causes. Gerry, son of George A. Sinnott and Ann Sinnott, was born February 5, 1947 and resided in Greenwich CT on Sterling Estate and Yale Farms and in Armonk, NY along with his brother George S. Sinnott. Gerry graduated from Pleasantville High School - class of 1965 where he was known for his athletic abilities. Fellow classmate Dave Barry wrote an article which included a humorous mention of Gerry and his athletic aptitude. Gerry played ball in Mount Kisco, NY and New Fairfield CT. Gerry was married to Diane Love on November 11th 1967 they were married for twenty-eight years. Gerry worked as an electrician for over 35 years and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 501 and Local 3, was a member of the Westchester Mechanics, and the Ravens. Gerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. Gerry was a dog lover and always had one if not more dogs and in retirement he enjoyed training his German Shepherd Jasper in Schutzhund - winning first place title in this event. Over the past decade Gerry has enjoyed time spent with Joan Addessi and her family. Gerald Sinnott is survived by his daughter Kimberly Sinnott and her husband John Nadasky and his son Gerald Sinnott and his fiancé Amber Searfoss as well as six grandchildren: Michael, Reid, Sean, James, Addison, and Ethan. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15th 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home - 262 Main St, Mt Kisco, NY. The funeral is scheduled for 10:00 am with a mass at Mass at St Patrick's Church in Armonk NY, burial at St, Mary's Cemetery in CT. Afterwards a reception will be held at the American Legion of Armonk. In Lieu of flowers please make contributions in the memory of Gerald D. Sinnott to The Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
