Lisa loved the Lord Jesus and she was not a stranger to prayer or praise to God. Marvin and Tika were her gifts from God, she loved them with all she had . She would send them out of state for the summers to give them broader experiences, it was her goal for them to have the best life could offer. Lisa was a beloved long time resident of Warburton Avenue in Yonkers, NY. Though her time here on this earth is done; her memory and spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. The impact of her transition was felt by hundreds who were touched by her contagious beautiful spirit, her infectious laugh and her tremendous heart. Those who grew up with her will miss her laugh, her “tell it like it is” advice, her big sister protection, her love of music and of course her devotion to her favorite artists Janet Jackson and Diana Ross, of whom she would tell anyone who would listen “Diana Ross is my godmother”. The nucleus for the group of children growing up on Warburton Ave and throughout Yonkers, Lisa was often referred to by her childhood friends as the Queen of Warburton Avenue. Lisa marched to the beat of her own drum, she had a strong mind a sharp tongue and rarely allowed the opinions of others to dictate her actions. The last few years of her earthly life she enjoyed reminiscing with friends about the “good ole days” and talking about the loves of her life, her grandsons Je’Siah and Karson.
