In Loving Memory Hattie Mae Gilliard Jacobs December 6,1949- July 19, 2014 Hattie Mae Gilliard, better known as Nana, passed away on July 19, 2015. She was born in Timmonsville, South Carolina on December 6, 1949 to the late Jayfel & Mary Williams Gilliard. She attended school in South Carolina until she moved to New York in 1967. In 1968 she married Mr. Willie j Jacobs. Nana worked as a childcare counselor for 35 years. She was a giving woman with a heart of gold and she always told it as it was. Her passion was cooking and spending time with her grandchildren who she loved dearly. Her door was always open to anyone in need, if she could help she would. Nana is survived by her mother, 2 sisters, Dorothy & Rosalie, 3 sons, Anthony, Lamont, Jamie, 5 grandchildren, Chalane, Aniya, Tiffany, Jayquel, & Anthony, 3 great grandchildren Tyler, Carter, Kayden and many nieces and nephews.
