Mary Jones (nee Doherty) passed away peacefully on July 26, 2015 at her residence in Armonk, NY. She was 90 years old. Mary was born in Carndonagh, Ireland (county Donegal) in 1924. She was the second youngest of nine children and the last surviving sibling. In 1960, she married Bradford Jones, a Flushing, NY resident and successful magazine writer. They were married until Bradford's death in 1997. Mary is survived by her son, Steve, an executive at ABC News, daughter-in-law Diane and grandchildren Brandon and Ariana, all residents of Armonk. Viewing will be Thursday, July 30th 2p-4p or 7p-9p at Oelker, Cox and Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 Main St., Mt. Kisco, NY 10549. A 10:15am funeral mass will be held Friday at St. Luke Church, 16-34 Clintonville Street, Whitestone, NY 11357 with burial to follow at Flushing Cemetery, 163-06 46th Ave., Flushing, NY 11358.
