Bassam George Rabadi, 70, of Yonkers, NY passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015. Born in Jordan and later immigrated to the United States in 1971 where he lived most of his life in Yonkers. Bassam was a passionate man who enjoyed caring for his family, serving his community and helped Pioneer the Arab American Council where he served as President for a great while. He was an active and devoted Parishioner at St. Mary’s Good Shephard Church in Yonkers. He worked and owned a grocery store before retiring in his home with his wife Diana Rabadi married for 44 years. Bassam Rabadi was extremely loving and proud of his 8 children, Wejdan, Sylvia, Deena, Essa, Sahar, Omar, Tareq and Saddam. Adored and loved by all 14 of his grandchildren. He is also survived by his 7 siblings as well as his many loving brother-in-law’s, sister-in-law’s, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. A celebration of life and wake service will be held between 4-8pm, Monday, December 28 at Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers NY 10704. Funeral will be held Tuesday, December 29,2015, 10am at St. Mary’s Good Sheppard Church in Yonkers NY followed by the Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery.
