Obituary of Patricia A. Bauer

Patricia Ann Bauer (nee D’Ambrosio), a former resident of Hastings-on-Hudson, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2016 at her home in Wellfleet, MA after a long battle with dementia. She was 78 years of age. Born in the Bronx on August 19, 1937, she was the daughter of Anthony and Florence (Mayer) D’Ambrosio. Patricia graduated from Hunter College in New York and spent her early career working as a math teacher in New York City before switching to the corporate world where she held numerous executive positions at AT+T. In retirement, she was active in many of Wellfleet’s local organizations, including the Friends of the Wellfleet Library and The National Seashore. Patricia is survived by her loving husband Ernest and four daughters, Suzanne Dorn (Adam), Jennifer Nager (Danny), Lorraine Marsh (Victor) and Jessica Bauer (Brian); five grandchildren; and brother Robert D’Ambrosio (Kathy), all of whom will miss her dearly. A wake will be held Thursday, February 4, from 4-8 pm at the Hastings Funeral Home, 15 Spring St., and a funeral mass on Friday, February 5, at 10 am at St. Matthew’s Church in Hastings.
