Joseph Francis Gerdes born June 24, 1931 to Joseph & Julia (Buckley) Gerdes native to NY passed away February 17, 2016.
Joe was employed for 50 years in the food service industry. He was a big
football fan. Loved history and passed his time doing crossword puzzles.
Joe was predeceased by his loving wife Catherine (Oberst) Gerdes
Loving father to Rosemarie (Andrew Russo), Deborah (Richard McFadden),
Suzanne (Oberst), Joseph (Berna Gerdes), Michele, Catherine (James
Dudich), Christine, and Darlene (Steve Medinas).
Adoring grandfather to Kim Marie, Erin, Patrick, Madison, Johnathan,
Jessie, Dylan, Brianna, Brock, Dominick, and Jocelynn.
Joe was the oldest of nine children. Joan Jacobson (deceased), Margaret
Lee, Shelia Mahon, Timothy Gerdes, Florence Taylor, Raymond Gerdes
(deceased), Alvina Martens, and Michael Gerdes.
Loving uncle to numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral will be a private family affair.
