Ralph M, Acqufredda, 97, of Yonkers, NY passed away peacefully on March 7, 2016. A proud US Air Force Honorably discharged Veteran, Ralph was born September 2, 1918 in NYC to Gaetano and Maria Acquafredda. . He retired from the NYC Transit Authority ( 1983) and enjoyed his employment at Yonkers Raceway. A devout parishoner of catholic faith and an active member of the Coyne Park Senior Center, Ralph believed in being exceptionally kind and loving, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who cared deeply for others.He was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Margaret ( 2003) his son Thomas (2012), bother Victor Acquafredda and sister Carmela De'Fabio.He is survived by his devoted daughter, Victoria Assumma, grandsons Daniel Ralph and Thomas Joseph Assumma, his god daughter Felicia Pasculli Esq. , his "adopted" daughter Sondra Ruiz and her daughter Mia.Visiting is Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Sinatra Memorial Home 601 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, 10:30 am at St. John the Baptist Church, Yonkers, NY, burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery White Plains, NY.In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation, www.oif.org
