Obituary of Winifred Duffield

Winifred B. Duffield of Somers and Bedford Hills passed away on March 11, 2016 at the age of 89 from fa long battle of lung cancer. She was born on October 26, 1926 to Jasper I. and Catherine Stout Booth. She is survived by two sons, Richard W. Duffield and Richard Craig Duffield, grandson Richard W. Duffield and his wife Allana, great-grandson Kayden John Duffield, and former daughter-in-law Maureen G. Duffield. Mrs. Duffield is predeceased by her brothers Howard, Frank, Leonard, William, Jasper, Richard and her sisters, Hatalliea Williams, Jennie Duffield, Eva Mae Smith and others that passed on early in life not be known. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Winifred has a long family history of Putnam and Westchester Counties, dating back to the 18th Century. Winifred also has many family and friends all over the country. She loved to bake pastries, sew and was a historian of family history. Her interests included country music, fashion of country and southern western design. She loved country music, butterflies, blue jays, cardinals and carnations. The family will receive friends on Tuesday (TODAY), March 15, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 East Main Street, Mount Kisco. Funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 10 AM. Interment to follow Oakwood Cemetery, Mount Kisco, NY.
