Robert "Bob" Raymond Edmunds of Mount Kisco, NY peacefully passed away Saturday, May 28 after a short illness at the age of 77. He was born on August 7, 1938 in Hazleton, PA to Roland and Edith Edmunds. He attended MMI Preparatory School and graduated from Pennsylvania State University. His entire career was with MetLife, which is where he met and married Janet Bloemker in 1970. Together they had two children. The family moved to Mount Kisco in 1975, and Bob was an active member of the community. He served on the Mount Kisco Library Board, The Mount Kisco Housing Authority, and was an elder at the Presbyterian Church of Mount Kisco. An avid lover of American History, he was a member of the American Revolutionary War Round Table, The Civil War Round Table, and The Lincoln Group. Proud of his Welsh heritage, he was a member of the St. David's Society of New York. He loved trains of all kinds and was an active collector of Lionel locomotives and an active member of the Train Collectors Association.
He is survived by his loving wife Janet, devoted children Gwyneth (John) Mulligan of Scarsdale and Rhys (Susie) Edmunds of Wellington, CO and his beloved granddaughter Violet. He is also survived by his brothers, Roland and Thomas (Pam), nephew David (Tracy) and niece Susan.
Friends may call at the Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 East Main St., Mt. Kisco, NY on Thursday, June 2 from 4pm – 8pm.
Funeral Service at the Presbyterian Church of Mount Kisco, 605 Millwood Road, Mt. Kisco, NY on Friday, June 3 at 11 am.
