Obituary of Rosemarie Short
Please share a memory of Rosemarie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rosemarie Theresa Short, 75, died peacefully and entered Heaven's gates on June 11, 2016. Daughter to Robert Ross and Rose (Bigham) Ross of Armonk and step-mother Tootsie, wife to the late Carl Edward Short, mother to James, Carl, and Michael, grandmother to Christine, Patricia, Caitlin, Carl, Kathryn, Michael, and James, great-grandmother to Keiran and Sophia Rose, beloved sister to Nancy Scarpone, Robert Ross, Russell Ross, Douglas Ross, and James Ross and known as Aunt Ro to countless nieces and nephews, will be forever missed.
Rosemarie was known for her extraordinary baking skills and was the original Cake Boss. Her gift for making cakes was enjoyed by family and the community. Whether you needed Mickey Mouse, Snow White, a train, a football, or a wedding cake adorned with intricate flowers three tiers high and more, Rosemarie accomplished any design. In the late 70s to the early 80s, Rosemarie had a restaurant called Harvest Moon in Patterson, New York, and never failed to delight her customers with her welcoming smile, warm atmosphere, and of course, her fabulous cuisine.
Rosemarie and her husband Carl enjoyed the sandy beaches of Rhode Island and often visited the lighthouses as routine stops on their frequent trips to the coast. They enjoyed camping trips with the family and the abundant fishing, clamming, crabbing and all the ocean had to offer. Now reunited with her husband Carl, may they enjoy the sunset and the views from above.
