Leo H. Baldelli, 80, went home to the Lord, Tuesday July 5, 2016. He leaves behind his son Christopher Baldelli; his son, Michael Baldelli and his daughter-in-law, Catherine, along with their two children; Matteo and Lucia, who will dearly miss their Oompa. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Helen and Leo Baldelli. Leo is survived by his loving siblings, Giarad Baldelli; Maryann Prestipino; Joan Baldelli; Barbara Baldelli Robinson; and Helen Chervin. Leo is predeceased by his brothers, John and Harry; survived by their wives and devoted sister-in-laws, Mary Baldelli and Mary Jane Baldelli.
Leo, a loving Uncle, will be forever remembered for his playful humor with his 8 nephews; 7 nieces; 9 grand nephews; and 14 grand nieces. Leo was a people person in the truest sense. In his early years he loved music, shining shoes, selling flowers, and had variety of interests that allowed him to interact with others. Leo had a great love for music, dancing, old movies, and fishing. He is a veteran of the Korean War. He will be remembered most for his jovial, prankster spirit, through his companion Pug, "Rambo", and his annual getaway vacation spot, Wolff's, in the Catskill Mountains of New York.
Friends may call on Monday from 5PM to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Monday at 8:00 at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. Interment will be inWoodlawn Cemetery, Bronx.
