Obituary of Antoinette Martorana

Antoinette Martorana age 91 a lifelong resident of Yonkers, NY passed away on Monday July 25, 2016 Antoinette was born in Yonkers on September 12, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Angelina and Philip Virga. She married Vito Martorana on June 18, 1949. He pre-deceased her in 1979 Antoinette was a talented seamstress for many years working for various companies in Yonkers. She loved sewing, reading, cooking, and playing bingo. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. Her grandchildren Ashley and Brian were the loves of her life. Antoinette is survived by her daughter Esther Sherkus, son-in-law Scott, grandchildren Ashley and Brian, brother Vito Virga, and sister Tina Bostwick. As well as many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her sisters Catherine Virga, Josephine Virga, Anna Iannelli, and brother Anthony Virga. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 30, from 3:00-7:00 and Sunday, July 31 at 1:00-3:00 and 5:00-7:00 Funeral mass Monday August 1, at 10:00 am.
