William Warren Langhans of Armonk, NY, passed away quietly with his sons by his side on Friday morning July 29, 2016. He was born in Tarrytown NY to the late William F. Langhans and Lillian Dubuc Langhans on February 4, 1936. After graduating from Washington Irving High School in 1954 and Gettysburg College in 1959, William went on to Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island and served in the Navy until 1963. From there, he went to work for New York Telephone until 1989, and served in a variety of roles over the years as it transitioned to AT&T. It was here that he met his wife Roberta of 47 years. Most recently, William was able to follow his passion doing woodworking and furniture restoration and has had a lifelong interest in natural history, conservation and birding. William is survived by his two sons Gary and Glen. The Family will receive friends at the Oelker-Cox and Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main Street, Mt Kisco , NY from 6-9pm on Tuesday, August 2, 2016. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church in Armonk at 10am Wednesday, August 3, 2016. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Regional Hospice and Home Care Center for Comfort Care & Healing, 30 Milestone Rd, Danbury CT, 06810, or to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.
