Obituary of Rose Cannata
Please share a memory of Rose to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rose Carraturo Cannata, a longtime Yonkers resident, passed away in her home on Thursday, September 29th. Born in the Bronx in December 2, 1929, Rose was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Vincent, and her beloved son, James. Rose was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt who found great joy in cooking and preparing memorable meals for her family and friends. She was a big sports fan, especially her beloved NY Yankees, attending many games and rarely missing one on TV. She is survived by her daughter, Patty, her daughter-in-law, Vivien, and her two most beloved granddaughters Katie and Annie. Her daughter, Patty, wishes to send her love and gratitude to the wonderful women who lovingly cared for her in recent years - Andrea, Arlene, Cynthia, Michelle and Mary whose love and devoted care of my mother will never be forgotten. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue on Monday from 4 - 8 PM. Funeral mass at St. Anthony Church (Nepera Park) on Tuesday (time to be announced). Entombment at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flower, contributions to the Disable American Veterans preferred (www.dav.org).
