Obituary of Peter N. Frankevich
Please share a memory of Peter to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Peter Frankevich formerly of Hastings-on-Hudson died October 10, 2016. Peter was born September 28, 1922 to Xenia (Anna) & William Frankevich. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1940, and served a 6 year term in the Navy. He worked at the Anaconda Wire & Cable Company until it closed. After a brief tenure working for the Village of Hastings, he worked for the White Plains Post Office in the early 1970's, and retired in the middle of 1980's. Peter was a faithful parishioner and servent of both St. Stanislaus Kostka & St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Churches. Peter was a friend to many people in the community until moving to Rosenberg, Texas in 2006 to be near his beloved family. We feel lucky to have been so loved by Peter, because his love was unconditional, never ending and genuine. He is at peace now, and home with the Lord. For those who loved him, his passing leaves a deep emptiness in our hearts. Peter was predeceased in death by his parents, Sister Olga Maher, Brothers John, Sam & Steve. He leaves behind his daughters Gail (Dee) Frankevich of Rosenberg, Texas and Barbara J. John of Richmond, Texas as well as his two Grandson's Joshua John & Ryan John of Richmond, Texas. He also leaves behind five nieces and one nephew. Friends may call on Sunday from 4PM to 7PM at Hastings Funeral Home, Inc., 15 Spring Street, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. The funeral will be Monday at 10:00 at St. Matthews Church, 616 Warburton Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
