Obituary of Barbara T. DiCarmine

. Barbara T. DiCarmine passed away peacefully on November 26, 2016. Barbara was born on September 2, 1927 to her parents Phyliss and Joseph Mastrosanti in Yonkers, New York. Barbara graduated from Commerce High School. On May 22, 1948 she married Dominick (Minic) DiCarmine at St. Mary's Church in Yonkers and honeymooned in Cuba. Barbara worked for the Telephone Company and worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Yonkers for over forty years. Barbara loved to read and often had four to five books at once. She loved crossword puzzles and any word games. Barbara and her husband "Minic" loved to go dancing and enjoyed their scotch and waters. Whether on a safari in Kenya, Africa, riding a camel through the Valley of Kings in Egypt, cruising around Alaska or sailing on a gondola in Venice, Italy, Barbara loved to travel. The family wishes to express their sincerest thanks to the staff of The Pines at Poughkeepsie and especially the 6th floor staff. Loving mother of Dennis (Roseann), Richard (Lana), Phyliss (James) Bumiller and Barbara (Richard) Cooke. Adored grandmother of Marlena, Jared, Dominique and Shaina. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, from 4 to 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at St. Mary's Church, 103 S. Broadway, Yonkers, at 10 AM. Interment to follow St. Joseph's Cemetery, Yonkers
