As I was leafing through my high school year book, I decided to Google my closest childhood friend Murry. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing. Murry and I lived in adjacent apartment buildings from the time we were five years old. I learned in kindergarten that I had absolutely no talent in art (which I love) - because I compared what I could do with what Murry did! He was an incredible artist from the very beginning. I remember well when Murry's parents (Eve and Bill) got the first television in the neighborhood - and how we watched Howdy Doody together - and how our families watched Milton Berle there together as well. Murry gave me my first (and only) bloody nose (which I summarily returned) and brought me my first yellow roses (which have remained my favorite flower to this day). I always knew that Murry would do wondrous things and it gladdens me to see that he spent his days (like me) surrounded by loving family as well. Please accept my deepest condolences.

A creative genius has left. A very funny man with a fabulous laugh, has left. Murry's energy was on a higher plane, and always lifted mine. I learned so much from him, and saw such beauty through his eyes. I'm sad that he's gone. Love and warmth to Phyllis and the family. Joan

Murry was my creative inspiration. As as a young designer right out of Pratt, I was blessed to be Murry's assistant. A one of a kind conceptualizer, thinker, with the creativity I associate with the masters. He was truly a Master and will be missed. Condolences to Phylis, Andrea, Steven and all in the family.
