Frances DeMaio, age 86, of Yonkers died Monday, January 2, 2017. Frances was born January 17, 1930 in the Bronx, NY the daughter of the late Alexander and Sadie (Longo) Basso. Beloved wife of the late Walter DeMaio, Sr. Frances is survived by her devoted sons: Walter (Mary) DeMaio, Christopher (Joanne) DeMaio and Anthony DeMaio, loving grandmother of six. Also surviving is her sister, Carol Shapiro, her brother, Michael Basso and 14 nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday from 4PM to 8PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 at St. John the Baptist Church, 670 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson.
