Obituary of Marilyn Labato
Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marilyn (Maier) Labato of Yonkers, NY was born May 12, 1933 to Frank and Marie Maier in Bronx, NY where she grew up and was united in Holy Matrimony to Vito Labato for 51 years. She was educated in the Bronx Public Schools and was employed for many years at Jacobi Hospital as Head Nurse until the birth of her beloved son, Robbie when she then elected to become a full time mom. She peacefully departed this life on January 16, 2017, surrounded by her beloved family at Calvary Hospital when our Lord saw fit to translate His servant from this vale of tears so that she may rest until the day of the resurrection of all flesh. For decades, Marilyn was a member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church (Bronx) where she taught Sunday School classes and served as a musician and substitute organist. Forever, she now remains in the hands of our Redeemer. We give thanks to our Lord for the gift that Marilyn was and remains in the lives of the many that knew and dearly loved her. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband Vito; son Robbie; sister Dorothy Holsan; niece Ellen Jockwer; nephews Richard Holsan and John Holsan; brothers-in-law, Pat Labato, Frank "Junior" Labato and Peter Labato, and a host of other relatives and friends.
