Patricia Marie McCann Cacace, aged 85 of Yonkers, New York, passed away on February 25, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. Hers was a life well lived and her legacy will be that of a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Pat was born in Baldwin, Long Island on March 29, 1931 to Helen McCann Hogan. She and her brother, Frank McCann (who predeceased her) were both intelligent and successful students. Pat attended St. John's University on a full academic scholarship and graduated with honors as a Mathematics Major. She was offered another full academic scholarship to attend graduate school, but happily declined that opportunity to marry the love of her life, Hon. Robert W. Cacace, who later became the Chief Administrative Judge of the Yonkers City Court. The two were married at Saint Christopher's Church in Baldwin, New York on November 7, 1953 and remained happily married for thirty-three (33) years when they were separated by Robert's premature death in 1986. Pat remained the Matriarch of her family, which was her greatest joy, as she was happiest when she was with her children and grandchildren. She used her beautiful mind raising her five children, during her career at H&R Block, tutoring her many grandchildren, and she was a wiz at crossword puzzles, jumbles and jigsaw puzzles. She truly enjoyed her many years of playing tennis at The Racquet Club – and what a backhand she had! She is survived by her loving children Robert W. Cacace, Jr. (Deborah), Kevin T. Cacace (Claudia), Timothy J. Cacace (Carmelita), Christopher C. Cacace (Patricia), and Hon. Susan M. Cacace-Dibbini, Westchester County Court Judge (James G. Dibbini) and her adoring grandchildren, Robert Cacace, Christopher Cacace, Laura Cacace, Matthew Cacace, Mary Cacace, Robert M. Cacace, Jessica Cacace, Michael Cacace, Christopher Cacace, Patricia A. Cacace, John Cacace, Sophia J. Dibbini, Isabella P. Dibbini and Marielle A. Dibbini. She is also survived by her loving sister-in-law, Camille McCann, brother-in-law Charles J. Macellaro (Joan) and by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers on Monday from 2Pm to 8PM. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, February 28 at 10:45AM at St. John the Baptist Church, Yonkers. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
