Antonio Fonseca passed away on February 28, 2017 at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, NY. Antonio was born in Branca, Portugal on March 28, 1950 to Maria Mortagua and Rufino Fonseca. He spent his younger years in Portugal riding his motorcycle and was a drummer in a band. In 1973 he married the former Maria Pereira in Portugal and then immigrated to the United States. Antonio began his career managing a travel agency. He then became a business owner and opened his own travel agency in 1991 named Fonseca Travel Agency, a business that he ran along with his wife Maria until his passing. Antonio enjoyed helping the Portuguese community through his business and had many friends.
Antonio is survived by his wife, Maria and two children, John Fonseca, Sandra Zilka and her husband Nathan, granddaughter Isabel Zilka, mother Maria Mortagua, and sister Alda Carvalho.
