Obituary of Maria Grace DePoto

Maria Grace DePoto 68 of Bedford Hills went home to be with the Lord on April 9th after a short illness. She was born in Yonkers, NY and was the daughter of Nicholas L. DePoto and Anna Marie Rich. She was a graduate of Commerce High School in Yonkers NY and worked in the Yonkers public schools for many years. She moved to Mt. Kisco NY and received her certificate in Early Childhood Development. She was a preschool teacher at the Boys and Girls Club of Northern West Chester in Mt. Kisco for many years. She loved taking care of the children and has seen many of them grow up to be wonderful young men and women who still remember her. She was loved by many friends and neighbors and was like the mayor of the neighborhood. She loved cooking and everyone especially loved her Italian food which was a great comfort to many people. Maria is survived by her daughter Nicole DePoto, a sister Margaret (Peggy) Menchen, her niece Christine Steffensen and nephews Frankie, Joey, Michael Moreira, and Billy Menchen and she truly adored her great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved Brody her four legged baby. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the DePoto family.
