Obituary of Antoinette "Connie" Antonelli

Antoinette "Connie" Antonelli, age 89, of Yonkers died Wednesday, April 12, 2017. Connie was born June 3, 1927 in Torre DiRuggiero, Calabria the daughter of the late Joseph and Stella (Trecozze) Barbieri. In1952 she married Aldo Antonelli at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, who pre-deceased her in 1988. Connie was very family oriented, she loved to cook and bake for her family, she loved her family reunions in Lake George and the Poconos. She enjoyed her Friday night card games along with her knitting, sewing and crocheting. Connie also enjoyed cooking for the priests at St. John the Baptist Rectory in Yonkers, a job which she held for 10 years. Connie was an amazing person, during her later years at home, she loved her countless visits and time spent with Angela Ranellone She is survived by her children: Daniel Antonelli, Joseph (Polly) Antonelli, David (Kathy) Antonelli, John (Cindy) Antonelli and Rose (Warren) Druyan. Also surviving are 13 cherisded grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Connie was pre-deceased by her brother, Deacon Tony Barbieri and her sister, Vincenzina (Vinnie) Ranellone. Friends may call on Monday from 4PM to 8PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral mass will be Tuesday at 9:30 at Our Lady of Pompeii, 95 Palisade St., Dobbs Ferry. Entombment will be in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale.
