Enrico "Lefty" Chirurgi, a lifetime Yonkers resident and a World War II Army Veteran died peacefully on July 16, 2009 at the age of 86. Devoted son of the late Severino and Francesca Chirurgi. Beloved husband of Fernanda Chirurgi. Dear father of Sam Chirurgi of Putnam Valley, NY, Frances (James) Fitzsimmons of Putnam Valley, NY and Gabrielle (Michael) Giordano of Bedford Hills, NY. Cherished brother of Ray Chirurgi of Walnut Creek, CA and the late Enzo Chirurgi. Loving grandfather of Rachel and Michael Giordano and James and Kevin Fitzsimmons. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass at the Sacred Heart Monastery Church on Tuesday at 11 AM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
