Obituary of Joseph Trombetti

Joseph Trombetti (Papa Joe), 67, a longtime Bronx resident, passed away Thursday, May 18 2017 at Montefiore Medical Center Jack D. Weiler Hospital. He was born April 26 1950, in the Bronx to the late Aldo and Josephine (Schiavi) Trombetti. He was a painter by trade and worked for the City of New York.
Joe loved baseball and was an avid Yankee fan. He enjoyed golf, photography and spending time with his family. He was a passionate and loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his three daughters: Regina Dean and her husband Christopher, Laura Carlo and her husband Angelo and Christine Crea and her husband Steven. He also left behind seven grandchildren: Frank and Dominick Dean, Angelo and Grace Carlo, Marilyn, Steven and Joseph Crea. Joe is also survived by his sisters Melinda Grassi and her husband Perry and Celeste D'Amico and her husband Anthony as well as his nephew James D'Amico and niece Viki Grassi Ragone and her husband Michael. Joe had a big heart and will be missed by all that loved him.
Friends may call on Sunday, May 21st from 2– 6PM at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave, NY. The funeral mass will be on Monday, May 22nd at 9:30am at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 670 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. Interment will be in Saint Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
