Dear Grandma Charlotte,
Thank you for all the laughter and smiles you gave me all the years I was growing up and still to this very day! :-) I always loved coming up to "grandma's house" for sleep overs. I felt real special. I will always remember our trips to the Portchester Flea Market, and most vividly you saying "beauty is pain" as I was getting my ears pieced by "Dr. Feel Good" lol!!
The songs we used to sing ; from "once I went swimming" to "ring dang do", will carry on throughout generations. Your story of knowing Lou Gehrig, and how he picked you up when you were just a young girl of about 12yrs old (of course you asked your grandmother who took care of you if you could go) and went ice skating with him, which was help in therapy for his diesease was so amazing to me. And you had the sweetest smile when you told me he had a nickname for you, he called you "Charlie". :-D
Grandma you will always be my roll model and I know for a fact I am one lucky girl to have had you in my life and even more lucky for you to be MY GRANDMOTHER *
Love forever & ever,
Sarah Alice xo
