ALEXANDER LOUIS PALICZ, of Middletown NY since 2008, formerly of Yonkers NY, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at age 96.
He was born on January 16, 1921 in Yonkers and educated locally. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945. For enjoyment, he loved fishing and horse racing.
He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Palicz and Ruth Sader, sons, Alexander and John Palicz, step-daughter, Sandra Ray, step-son, Michael Palicz, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and longtime companion, Mary Sekel. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose Frances Palicz, brother, Julius (Gus) Palicz and sisters, Tillie (Matilda) Gmitter, Mary Kolesar and Pauline Smerek.
Visitation on Monday, July 10, 2017, at the Funeral Home, Inc. (601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers NY 10704) from 10AM to 1PM followed by a Funeral Service at the Funeral Home. Interment at Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Hospice of Orange & Sullivan County or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
