Virginia Pasanella Mondesando, devoted wife and mother, died peacefully on August 14,2017, at Cabrini of Westchester. Virginia was bom on May 2, 1918, to Lora (Prota) and Joseph F. Pasanella, in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.Virginia was a person who believed in making things beautiful. She made her homes beautiful and she made the lives of all of her friends and family beautiful as well. She was an absolute lover of people, music, art, food and life. Virginia leaves behind her two daughters, Rae (William, Sr.) laniri of White Plains, NY, and Loretta Stisi, of Delray Beach, Florida; as well as, four grandchildren, William (Dawn) Ianiri, Jr., Suzanne (Anthony) Grossi, Paul (Geraldine) Stisi, and Kimberly (Alan) Chesebro, and seven greatgrandchildren. Virginia is also survived by her sister, Amelia Merola of Dobbs Ferry, and a brother James Pasanello of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. She is predeceased by her husband Jerry Mondesando, a brother Joseph Pasanella, three sisters Mary Foyder, Cecelia Bonadies and Lillian Paterra, and a son-in-law Vincent Stisi. Virginia' s family would like to extend a special thank. you to the caregivers and staff of Cabrini of Westchester and Hospice of Westchester for their outstanding love and care. Friends may call on Thursday from 4PM to 8PM at Hastings Funeral Home, Inc., 15 Spring Street, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY and Friday from 8:30AM to 9:15AM at Cabrini Of Westchester, 115 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, NY. The funeral mass will be Friday at 9:15 at Cabrini Of Westchester. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Virginia's memory may be made to Cabrini of Westchester.
