Obituary of William W. Wallace

William "Bill" Walter Wallace, age 64, of Yonkers, NY sadly passed away after a brave battle with cancer on September 4, 2017 while surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on October 26, 1952 to John and Lauretta Wallace at a US Army base in Verdun, France. Bill is survived by his adoring mother, beloved wife Judi of 45 years, his two daughters Debra Guzman (Alberto) and Karen Leadbeater (Stephen), and his four grandchildren Tytiana, Adriana, Stephen & Emma all of whom always looked forward to playing with their grandpa. Bill was predeceased by his father, John Sr., his brother, John Jr. and his stepfather, Joseph. Bill worked as a lithographer in the printing industry in New York City for 32 years. He was an avid movie collector and Star Trek fan. After an early retirement, he spent quality time with his grandchildren running a "Grandpa Day Care" and expanding and cataloging his movie collection. Bill's greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his wife, family and close friends and he was always eager to play a board game to show his competitive side and have a good laugh. Bill was the rock on which the foundation of his family was built and the person they turned to for guidance, encouragement and validation. He will be dearly missed but the love he shared will continue to shape the lives of those who were blessed to know him. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sinatra Funeral Home at 601 Yonkers Avenue in Yonkers. Burial will take place on Friday morning, September 8th at Wellwood Cemetery in Wyandanch, NY.
