Anna Gallego (Massello), of Yonkers, NY died peacefully on September 5, 2017 at St. John's Hospital at the age of 96. Anna was born in Stigliano, Italy and settled in New York in 1929. She worked for many years as a seamstress and retired as a member of the Ladies' Garments Worker Union. Anna enjoyed traveling with her senior citizens groups and the Italian American Unity Club and in 1995 she was inducted into the Westchester County Hall of Fame for Seniors. In 1997 she was recognized by the City of Yonkers for her work with the Italian American Unity Club and for her service as treasurer for many years. Beloved wife of the late Edward. Devoted mother of Eddie "Go Go" Gallego and Thomas (Helen) Gallego. Dear sister of Grace Lavaia and Julia (Romeo) Cartolano. Cherished grandmother of Michael (Cristina) Gallego and Nicole Gallego and great grandmother of Nico Gallego. Fond aunt of Julie, Frank and Thomas Lavaia and Anthony, Thomas and Robert Cartolano. Anna was also a longtime companion of Mike Fortuna.   Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. on Sunday from 4-8PM. Funeral mass at St. John the Baptist Church on Monday at 10:30M. Entombment Ferncliff Mausoleum.
