Mary L. Higgins, age 84, of Yonkers died Thursday, December 14, 2017. Mary was born September 12, 1933 in the Bronx the daughter of the late Edward and Geraldine (Halley) Geary. Mary retired from Yonkers Board of Education as a Secretary in Building and Grounds. Devoted mother of Jeanne Higgins and Douglas(Lori) Higgins (YFD). Loving grandmother of Jessica, Douglas and Anthony. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Dorothy Geary and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Sunday from 4PM to 8PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 at the St. Francis Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Interment to follow. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Yonkers Animal Shelter or he Ronald McDonald House of New York.
