Jalileh Sleman Innabi, sister, aunt and godmother died on December 20, 2017 at age 82 after a brief illness at Saint John's Hospital.
Jalileh, of Yonkers, was surrounded by family, whose lives were made whole by her love and care.
Jalileh was born July 25, 1935 in Ermameen, Jordan to Sleman Salem Jwaid Innabi and Jamilah Abdallah Hasso. She attended religious education in Artas, Bethlehem where she became fluent in Italian and English. She graduated and became a teacher, traveling to various villages throughout Jordan. She came to United States in the 1960s but traveled between New York and Jordan often.
She loved her family and enjoyed spending nights with her siblings, nieces and nephews. She was a generous woman who cared deeply about her faith, culture and family.
Jalileh is predeceased by her brothers Mechael Jwaid Innabi and Khalil Jwaid Innabi as well as her sisters Futhia Tomassian and Julia Ennabi.
She is survived by her sisters Tamam Aboudi (Yonkers), Theresa Nasser (California), Muntaha Anabi (California), and Eideh Hassan (Yonkers); and many nieces and nephews who love and adore her.
Visiting hours will be held at Sinatra Funeral Home at 601 Yonkers Avenue from 6pm-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, December 22nd at 11 am, at St. Mary's Good Shepherd Church in Yonkers. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Yonkers, New York. A mercy meal will follow at Castle Royale on Waverly Street in Yonkers, New York.
