Obituary of Emma Mastrogiovanni

Emma Mastrogiovanni (Cirillo), a long-time resident of Armonk, New York and residing in Pleasantville, New York, died on January 4, 2018. She was the daughter of Vincenzo and Adele (DiRusso) Cirillo. She was 96 years old. Emma graduated from Evander Childs High School (Class of 1939). After graduation, she was a clerk at M.W. Kellogg Limited in New York City. She worked for Tensolite Wire and Cable Company in Buchanan, New York as a sales representative from 1964 until her retirement in 1988. In January 1943 she married Albert Mastrogiovanni at St. Martin of Tours Church in Bronx, New York. Emma and her husband settled in Armonk, New York in 1960 and raised their family. Emma loved listening to her music, Andre Rieu and the Big Bands and she loved to dance. Playing lotto was one of her favorite pastimes. Emma had a fantastic sense of humor, was kind and had a generous heart. She was a wonderful mother, Grams and Great grams. Her family was always her priority. Emma was predeceased by Albert (October 1998) and her siblings, Joseph, Eugene, Alfred, George, Julia, Mary and Elena. Emma is survived by her daughters Janet (Bruce) MacDonald, Suzanne (James) Holden. Her grandchildren Amanda (Brian) Carr, Adam (Shea) MacDonald, Erik (Stephanie) Holden, Sean Holden, and her great grandchildren, Brendan, Wyatt, Phoebe, James and Hunter and many nieces and nephews. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Friends of Karen. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Mass on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church in Armonk, New York. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, New York.
