Mary Matzura, of Hastings-on-Hudson died peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Mary was born September 30, 1917 in Stratford, CT the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Kopchik) Matzura, Sr. Mary was employed as an administrative assistant for Exxon Mobil up until her retirement. She is survived by her loving sister Ann and three sisters-in-law, Gloria, Agnes and Theresa and several nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by four brothers, Andrew, Stephen, John and Thomas,Jr. Mary was very active in her church, St. Mary's Carpatho Greek Orthodox Church. She also loved playing golf, volunteering at St. John's Hospital, the senior organization and traveling. Friends may call on Friday from 4PM to 8PM at Hastings Funeral Home, Inc., 15 Spring Street, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. The funeral will be Saturday at 8:45 at St. Mary's Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church, 485 N. Broadway, Yonkers. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson.
