Obituary of Teresa Falleti
Please share a memory of Teresa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Teresa Falleti, 83 years old, of Mt. Kisco, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 20th. Teresa was born on March 19, 1934 in Taurianova Reggio Calabria, Italy, to the late Domenico and Maria Cannatá.
Growing up in Italy, she worked in her family's bakery with her parents and brothers. In 1953, Teresa married Joseph Falleti, of Mount Kisco, New York. Later that year, she immigrated to the United States and made her new home in Mount Kisco. Together, Teresa and Joseph had two daughters, Marie and Joann. Losing her husband, the love of her life, in 1981, Teresa was widowed at the age of 46 and never remarried. She helped raise her four grandchildren, and imparted on them her teachings of love, positivity, and the importance of family.
Teresa loved gardening, cooking, and entertaining. As for her guests, anyone who entered her home was considered family. Her greatest joy was children; nothing made her happier than a child's laughter. She loved playing games; especially Rummy 500, Pokeno, Bingo, and Trouble. Teresa was also an avid fan of Professional Wrestling, The Jerry Springer Show, Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune.
In her later years, despite her numerous health concerns, Teresa remained an active member of her community and never missed a family event. Though she struggled with her health, she never let her pain get in the way of her enjoying all of life's blessings. Thanks to her strong Catholic faith, the care of her wonderful doctors, nurses, her devoted home health aides, and the dedicated first-responders of the Village of Mount Kisco, Teresa was able to enjoy many more years with her loving family.
Teresa was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph, and three brothers in Italy, Rosario, Antonino and Rocco. She is survived by her daughters Marie Pitasi (Vincent), Joann Cerretani (Anthony), her grandchildren Mia (Michael), Joseph (Jenna), Larry, Dominick (Shaina), her three great grandchildren, Alessia, Ariana and Duke, numerous nieces and nephews and her dearest friend, Elsie Caracciolo.
