Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charles DeStefano Howe passed away peacefully at his home on March 16, 2018. Chuck was a beloved family member and friend. He played multiple instruments with great passion and applied his trade at open mic nights and in local studios, playing everything from jazz to surf music. He wrote, edited, and contributed to five books and did so with a thoughtul combination of humor and insight. The love of his life was Erin MacParland and he was happiest when he was with her and her cat, Pawshank, in New York City. He is survived by his mother and father, Sally and David Howe of Guilford, CT, his brother, Randy Howe and his wife Alicia Solis and their two children, of Madison, CT, as well as his beloved grandmother, Yolanda DeStefano, of Mount Kisco, NY. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins and, in particular, enjoyed spending time with Dee DeStefano Roider and Bruce Lind, Janet and Ken Kuebler, Chris and Brittany Kuebler, and Kevin and Julia Kuebler. In lieu of flowers, Erin and his family ask that you consider giving to the ASPCA or planting a tree in his name through alivingtribute.com or treesforachange.com. Calling hours are scheduled for Monday March 19th, from 4:00-8:00, at Oelker-Cox and Sinatra Funeral Home (262 East Main Street Mount Kisco, NY 10549).
