Josephine Saponara, "nee" Urgo of Yorktown Heights N.Y. (formally of Yonkers) died peacefully on April 2, 2018. She was 95 years old. Josephine was born in Cirigliano, Italy on July 22, 1922. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Saponara. Josephine was a homemaker who loved cooking and spending time with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loving mother of Vincent (Filomena), John (Barbara), Nicholas (Terry), Anthony (Jackie) and Luciano (Angela). Beloved grandmother of 11 and great- grandmother of 11. Cherished sister of 2 brothers and 5 sisters; all are predeceased. Her warm smile and compassion will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Friends and family may call Thursday April 5th, 3:00- 8:00 p.m. at Sinatra Funeral Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers N.Y. 10704, (914) 963-5263. Funeral Mass Friday April 6, 2018 at 11:15 A.M. St Eugene's Church, Entombment Mount Hope Cemetery.
