MICHAEL DURKOT, a lifelong resident of Yonkers NY, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at age 83.
Mike was the son of the late Anthony and Eva (Strezen) Durkot. He was a Korean War veteran and a proud member of many veteran posts. He was also a long-time member of the Catholic Slovak Club in Yonkers. Mike was the proprietor of Durkot's Bar and Grill in Yonkers, for over 30 years.
Mike is survived by his loving sister, Helen (Durkot) Lesko and her children, Stephen, Eva and Luke, also Eva's husband, Joe, and their children, Margaux and Mark. He is also survived by Luke and Gladys' children, Nicholas and Michael.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 11, 2018, from 4PM to 8PM, with Panahyda at 7:30PM, in Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 46 Seymour Street, Yonkers NY 10701. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at 10AM in Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
Donations in Mike's memory may be made to the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church.
