Born in a small town in Agrigento (Naro), Sicily on October 19, 1947, Lillo Brancato began his journey through life. Lillo was the oldest son of Vincenzo and Ignazia Brancato. Vincenzo raised his children in a very disciplined way. It was from here that Lillo learned much of his hard work ethic. On January 29, 1966, at the age of 19, Lillo, his mom and siblings came to America and migrated to Yonkers, New York to meet their dad, Vincenzo, who was already here. He found employment at Ferncliff Cemetery and shortly thereafter he got in the local 27 Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen. While here in Yonkers he met and married Domenica, the daughter of Antonio and Maria Longobucco. They adopted a baby boy who they named Lillo Jr and had one of their own, Vincent. After many years of hard work and accomplishments as a mason and builder, Lillo began to experience health issues. On August 23, 2007 he received a heart transplant and continue to struggle with his health from that point on. On June 24, 2018, the loving husband, father and grandfather passed away. He will always be remembered as a good man, father, husband, grandfather, brother, son and one of the hardest working men you'll ever meet. Friends may call on Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY, from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm.
